Cake Boss Recipes: Cake Boss Sponge Cake

The Cake Boss Sponge Cake is among the most popular Cake Boss recipes. This easy to bake cake is one of Buddy Valastro’s most popular Cake Boss recipes. The secret to the Cake Boss Sponge Cake is its fluffy and light texture achieved only by the beating of the eggs. Use a stand mixer for this recipe for best results. Here’s how to begin.

Ingredients:

For the ingredients, you need two cups of sugar, four whole eggs, one teaspoon of vanilla, one cup of whole milk, cup of lightly salted butter, two cups of all-purpose flour, two teaspoons of baking powder, and teaspoon of salt.

Procedure:

Begin by beating the eggs in a large mixing bowl with the paddle attachment on for about four minutes. Remember, the trick for a light and fluffy sponge cake is to make sure the eggs are light and fluffy as well. Never skip this step!

Next, add the sugar into the mixing bowl, beating for an extra four to five minutes until you have arrived with a fluffy and light mixture. Gently add the vanilla and stir the mixture until all ingredients are fully combined.

Using a separate bowl, you will now work with the dry ingredients. Sift the dry ingredients making sure there are no clumped up granules. You will then add the sugar and the eggs into the dry mixture, turning the mixer at low speed until ingredients are fully combined.

Using a saucepan, heat the butter and the milk in low heat until the butter if fully melted. Never let the milk and butter boil. After the mixture is just warm enough to touch, add it to the batter and beat until ingredients are fully combined.

Pour the batter into greased and floured cake pans. The batter will be enough for two 8 round cake pans.

Place the cake pans into the oven at 325 degrees. A good way to know if your cakes are ready by touching them. If the cake springs back when touched the sponge cake is ready. You can also insert a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. Remove the cake from the oven and let it stand at room temperature for about ten minutes. You may then turn them into wire cooling racks so they may be cooled completely. Congratulations! You have successfully completed one of the best Cake Boss recipes!
